For energy companies, OEMs, partners & investors
The intelligence layer behind energy infrastructure in Pakistan
We build the systems that make solar performance, electricity flow and energy cost visible, measurable and trustworthy — after the equipment is sold and the salesman, installer and commissioning team have left the roof.
SPC · Solar performance intelligence
Is the solar asset behaving correctly?
WattEY · Energy & billing intelligence
Where did the electricity come from — and what did it cost?
Installing the equipment is only the beginning
Solar equipment gets installed, energy starts flowing — and the real operational problems begin. The hardware companies build the equipment. The utility measures the grid. The inverter measures the inverter. The generator has its own information. Each sees its own slice.
But the business owner ultimately needs one answer:
“What is actually happening at my site — and what is it costing me?”
No installer, inverter app or utility meter answers that. It sits fragmented across equipment, meters, portals, bills, spreadsheets, installers and operators. That gap is where SPC, WattEY and our engineering come together — and, honestly, it’s the gap we install into and then keep watching, not walk away from.
A uniquely complex energy environment makes a uniquely valuable proving ground
A commercial or industrial site here doesn’t run on one source. It runs on an electricity system — and that system is where the difficulty, and the opportunity, live.
A factory doesn’t experience “a solar system.” It experiences an electricity system — fragmented across equipment, meters, portals, bills, spreadsheets, installers and operators. That fragmentation is the opportunity.
Anyone can say “Pakistan has a growing solar market.” The more interesting story is the operational problem that growth creates — and the fact that someone has to solve it on the ground.
Two sides of the same problem
SPC — asset truth
Is the solar asset behaving correctly?
The continuous inspection layer for the solar plant.
WattEY — energy & cost truth
Where did the electricity come from, and what did it cost?
The reconciliation layer for the whole site’s energy.
SPC explains the performance of the energy asset. WattEY explains the economics of the energy system. Together, they turn a site from a black box into something you can see, measure and trust.
SPC · Solar Performance Cloud
The continuous inspection layer for solar
A solar plant can still be generating electricity while something is quietly going wrong. SPC is built to notice the behaviour that deserves engineering attention — not just to show a graph. It watches for:
WattEY · Energy & billing intelligence
Turning messy meter data into a number a business can defend
A factory can use grid, solar and generator at the same time. WattEY takes the raw meter data and transforms it into the business view:
Raw meter readings → understood electricity sources → reconciled energy → cost / billing intelligence → business decision
Built in the real world — not a prototype
These are measured on the commercial and industrial solar we independently monitor in Pakistan — our monitored base, not a national census. WattEY runs live in production alongside it, reconciling grid, solar and generator in real time across industrial sites.
Solar Performance Cloud — independent solar inspection
of monitored inverters had a dead string or went silent within 60 days — owners’ apps still green
of solar generation measured on the platform since April 2026
platform uptime — we see the other 2% the day it happens
output returned on one inverter from fixing a single dead string
less alert noise — the same faults, a fraction of the messages
906 panel strings and 118 inverters monitored, as of 25 August 2026
WattEY — energy measured & reconciled in production
net electricity measured for 19 organisations, as of 25 August 2026
live in production since November 2025 — 100% platform uptime over the last 30 days (Sep 2026)
alerts raised; 517 generator runs tracked
caught with reversed CT wiring — automatically, from negative power at night
a disputed dairy-farm bill reconciled to, against the meter’s own register
This isn’t a prototype built to explain an idea. It’s a system running against the reality of Pakistani industrial energy.

Why this is hard — and why we built it ourselves
The difficult part isn’t making another dashboard. It’s turning imperfect, real-world data into a number someone can actually trust. That means dealing with:
How raw physical-world data becomes a trusted decision
Physical world → Meters / inverters / generators → Raw data → Validation → Classification → Energy logic → Business number → Decision
The real engineering challenge was not displaying data. It was deciding when the data could be trusted.
Started from the problem, not a dashboard
Wattey Energy was founded by Engr. Reyyan Niaz Khan — a UET Lahore electrical engineer and the pioneer of digital energy auditing in Pakistan. Solar Performance Cloud and WattEY were designed and built by Ali Ahmed, Head of Energy Systems & Product Engineering; the company’s engineers handle installation, rollout and training at client sites.
What has the team built?
Two production platforms — Solar Performance Cloud and WattEY — running on real Pakistani sites, not a product concept.
What hard problems have been solved?
Messy multi-source field data, missing signals, reconciliation, and turning it into numbers you can trust.
Does the company understand the energy business?
Built from the reality of Pakistani grid, solar, generator and billing — not a generic global model.
Can it work between engineering and business?
The whole system turns raw data into a business decision — that’s the bridge.
Can this thinking scale beyond Pakistan?
The underlying problem — trusting messy physical-world data — exists anywhere infrastructure meets money.
You bring the hardware. We help make the installed system observable.
The challenge isn’t only selling the next inverter. It’s knowing whether the installed base is performing, which sites are behaving abnormally, and whether a problem is equipment-side or customer-side. We turn an installed equipment base into an observable, measurable operating base.
Local market intelligence
How systems actually behave in the Pakistani operating environment.
Post-deployment visibility
See what happens after installation, not just at commissioning.
Engineering context
Separate a data anomaly from something that genuinely needs field investigation.
Customer-side energy intelligence
How solar interacts with grid consumption, export and generation.
A local technology layer
Built around real Pakistani sites, not a generic global software model.
Feedback from the field
Turn what happens across deployed systems into product, service and customer insight.
The partnership
Your equipment → Local deployment → Field data → SPC inspection → WattEY intelligence → Engineering interpretation → Customer insight → Stronger relationships
You don’t just want to sell into Pakistan. You want people on the ground who understand what happens after the sale.

A large installed physical asset base
Solar and energy infrastructure creates enormous amounts of operational data.
The data layer is fragmented
Equipment makers see their equipment. Utilities see the grid. Businesses see the bill. The full economic picture stays fragmented — a potentially unowned space.
The more you observe, the more valuable it gets
The more infrastructure you can see and measure, the stronger the long-term data moat.
The long game
Deployment → Data → Intelligence → Trust → Switching cost
Built and proven in Pakistan. Designed around a problem that exists anywhere physical infrastructure meets money.
Questions from partners & investors
- What does Wattey Energy actually do?
- We build the intelligence layer around energy infrastructure in Pakistan — the systems that make solar performance and electricity cost visible, measurable and trustworthy after the equipment is installed. Solar Performance Cloud inspects the solar asset at the string level; WattEY reconciles a site’s whole electricity picture across grid, solar and generator.
- Is this a real product in production, or a concept?
- In production. WattEY has been live since November 2025 and, as of 25 August 2026, had measured 1.92 GWh of net electricity for 19 organisations; Solar Performance Cloud, live since 30 January 2026, monitored 906 panel strings at 94 sites (118 inverters) on the same date. Every figure is queried from the production database and dated.
- What makes the data a moat?
- It is independent, multi-brand, string-level and multi-source ground-truth field data on how solar and energy actually behave in Pakistan — how equipment performs, where energy goes, what faults occur. No inverter maker, EPC or overseas software vendor holds it, because none of them watch every brand, at the string, on the ground, here. The more infrastructure we observe, the stronger it gets.
- How can a solar or inverter company work with you?
- You bring the hardware; we help make the installed system observable — turning an installed equipment base into a measurable operating base, with local market intelligence and field feedback on how equipment performs in Pakistani conditions. Reach us on WhatsApp to start a partnership conversation.
- How can an investor engage?
- Message us on WhatsApp or through the contact page and say you’re an investor — we’ll follow up with a deeper brief. Our focus is not only winning clients; it is a durable dataset and platform in a large, under-served market.
- Are you utility-scale?
- No — we are commercial and industrial, behind the meter, for a business’s own site. We do not run utility-scale grid SCADA or market dispatch. That honest scope is deliberate: we go deep where we can actually help.
- How is the intelligence layer different from a monitoring dashboard?
- A dashboard shows numbers. The intelligence layer runs on one data layer where string-level solar performance and site-wide energy cost across grid, generator and solar are reconciled together — and every finding is verified by a solar engineer, not just plotted. It is built for behind-the-meter C&I sites in Pakistan, not a generic global template.
- What exactly is the data moat?
- Proprietary ground-truth. Most platforms aggregate whatever telemetry a device happens to send; we generate engineer-verified field data — string-level faults, real losses, cost-per-source — from real Pakistani commercial and industrial sites. That verified ground truth, gathered over time across the country, is the asset competitors cannot copy from a distance.
- Can manufacturers or investors access the underlying data?
- Selectively and on terms. Partners can reach anonymised or aggregated insight through an agreement (we expose it to trusted systems via an MCP endpoint on request); investors get a deeper brief. The raw, client-identifying data is never sold — the point is a durable dataset, used responsibly.
